Carlo Mannelli

Carlo Mannelli was an Italian composer, violinist, and conductor born on November 4, 1640. He was active during the Baroque period and is known for his contributions to the development of instrumental music in Rome. Mannelli was a prominent figure in the Roman music scene and was associated with the Accademia di Santa Cecilia, one of the leading musical institutions of the time.

He was recognized for his skill as a violinist and played a significant role in the evolution of the Roman school of violin playing. Mannelli's work influenced several younger composers and performers, including Arcangelo Corelli. He died on January 6, 1697, at the age of 56.
